November 1 Day Winter Weather Workshops

Before winter arrives, I have an opportunity for those interested in a 1 day winter workshop! Winter weather offers a much different set of topics to explore that impact us all…sometimes more than we’d like!

I’ll be talking about winter storms of the past, including a video montage that will take us down memory lane and add a perspective of winter extremes for the Sioux Falls area.

Discover the wonder and beauty of snow crystals, how snow storms are formed, and why snow predictions are difficult.

We’ll also look at how freezing rain and sleet form by looking back at the Sioux Falls ice storm in 2013.  I also will include winter safety tips and why we need to pay attention to cold weather dangers!

This one day workshop will be a condensed version of the winter weather topics we’ve been learning about throughout our October classes.
