Hurricane Harvey Class Friday, September 8th

Hurricane Harvey was the first major hurricane to strike the mainland of the United States in many years.  In response to the situation, I wanted to offer a special class to talk about the storm: how it formed, why the flooding was so bad, and what meteorologists will be studying to learn from this event.

The class will be held free of charge, we would ask that you consider a suggested donation of $10 per student to a charity of your choice to support relief efforts associated with Hurricane Harvey.

Some charities helping those in the Houston area are the Salvation Army, the Red Cross, and smaller organizations in Texas that need donations, such as the Houston Food Bank, Food Bank of Corpus Christi, Houston Humane Society, Houston SPCA, or San Antonio Humane Society. For links to these organizations you can visit: https://www.forbes.com/sites/sleasca/2017/08/29/hurricane-harvey-donation-charity-scams/#46bbec6771dc.

WHERE: Faith Baptist Fellowship Church, 57th and Minnesota.
